Sayang! Saya Ingin Terbang...

I think of him when morning breaks,
A name my quiet heart still takes.
He doesn’t know, he doesn’t see,
But still, he means the world to me.

He walks a life I can’t belong,
And that, I’ve known all along.
He’s drawn to places I can’t go,
Yet still, I love him soft and low.

Each day I play the songs I know,
The ones that make the feelings grow.
They speak of love I cannot claim,
But still, they whisper out his name.

It’s not his fault, and never mine,
That hearts can’t always fall in line.
He walks the path his truth has made,
And I remain, in quiet shade.

I do not beg, I do not plead
But love, once grown, becomes a need.
And so it stays, perhaps for years,
Perhaps forever, tamed by tears.

I do not know what time will do,
But I know this: my love is true.
Not loud, not wild, but standing still,
A steady flame that always will.
